Scott Cox
Director

Scott is the proud founder of Ignite Engineering and the driving force behind the Mission, Vision & daily operation of the company. As an Engineer, Scott brings an exceptional level of versatility and capability to his role.
Originally from a trade background in fabrication & welding, Scott gained hands-on experience in a range of heavy industries both within Australia and internationally. After completing his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering he went on to further post-graduate study in the structural domain. Scott has brought his uniquely practical approach to the engineering profession since this time.
Tobias Hartmann
Design Engineer
MEng Naval Architecture & Maritime Technology
Tobias is the analyst of the team and a great example of why engineers from his native Germany are so well revered the world over. Despite his extensive education in marine engineering, Tobias brings a high level of versatility and wide ranging skills to his role at Ignite.
After pursuing a career in the maritime sector, as a result of his keen interest in sailing, Tobias gained experience in the design and analysis of an impressive array of industrial equipment including complex steel structures, ships, offshore platforms, wind turbines and even submarines!
Sam Jones
Design Engineer
BEng (Mech)
Sam’s expertise is in the design, 3D modelling and development of industrial products. His role at Ignite sees him continually expanding on this skillset through the complex and unique projects the company undertakes.
Sam has a natural tendency to be client and solution focused which makes him a great fit within the Ignite Engineering team. His interests outside of work include a passion for the automotive industry which has led him into a successful side-gig designing, 3D printing and shipping bespoke products to other car enthusiasts around the world.
Brendan Dever
Senior Engineer
BEng (Mech), MBA, MIEAust, CPEng, RPEQ
Brendan is a highly valued member of the Ignite team, bringing over 45 years of industry experience to his role. After a career spent in the meat processing industry, his expertise includes project management, material handling, refrigeration and complex automated systems.
In his present position, Brendan works closely with our clients to help them find innovative & practical solutions to their unique industrial challenges. In his spare time, Brendan enjoys an impressive array of hobbies along with university studies in sustainable living.
